Hii! This is just a small website on neocities I created called the great catsby , based off the great gatsby. i felt inspired by this name because i love the great gatsby, its a good book and a great film, and i love cats (i have a ragdoll). when i was planning to create my own website, which i found neocities from a youtuber that i watched (know more from the 100 things about webmasters page i have at the bottom there) and i wanted a name for my neocities page, so i just came up with the great catsby by mixing the word cat with gatsby to make this site you're on right now! okay enough about the website and a little more about me.. |

hello hello,
im vincent, and you can call me vincent, or spky, as thats the username i go by on most of my socials, or spkytoo if the first doesn't work for you. im 14 years old from hong kong originally born in new zealand that just moved to australia for school (and just the overall feeling of being upside down). as an auuss-traaa-liaan, i can safely tell you that we wake up upside down and that vegemite is really good (for the most part) okay enough yap... <> and this website, the great catsby, is just a personal website created just purely cus i was bored and wanted to put my years of learning coding to use. i first learnt html, js and css back in 2020 and then started to learn python during the c*vid period back in 2022 (wow, long time ago) ; pretty shocking that 2022 was 3 years ago, feels like yesterday..
then i learnt python and started enjoying and growing a passion for coding and dreaming of being a software develoiper and a computer science engineer when i grow up (stil kinda having that thought right now). i then learny c# and c++ from brackeys videos and built my first game on unity. (remembering making a tower defense and a cube glide dodger game) and then started experimenting developing games on roblox..
so you can say i really liked to code ahaha, as i always liked the idea of just sitting infront of a computer screen and just typing with your keyboard and you can create.. well all sorts of things..!, thats the entire reason why i got my first gaming laptop!
um enough of the more yap..
i play badminton, enjoy sports and learnt coding myself through youtube tutorials and experimenting on vs and vscode when i was younger, i know c# and c++ pretty well, as well as python and htmlcss and im trying to learn java .-. (probably explained above already)
some games i like to play are league of legends.. (i have around 3k hours.. im cooked), csgo and cs2, valorant, animal crossing, gtav, terraria, and stardew valley.
i have a passion for the basketball, and i watch the nba, but i used to play and don't really have the dedication to start playing basketball again.. maybe someday i will..

heres just a small little website that i made purely for fun back in 2024, but in 2025 i updated it more and updated it a ton (put in the hours) to make this more presentable for the coding assessment im working on currently for school
